Despite the fact that I'm still trying to recover from the cold I got last week, it was a pretty good week. Here are the top 10 things from this past week that made me forget about the constant coughing, runny nose, sneezing...
1. The Beavers won on Saturday! A "W" from the Beavers is always a sure way to make my week. Let's hope they win again today!
2. I have 10 meals in my freezer that can be pulled out at anytime for dinner. Thanks to Brant's parent's church and a little event they call "Freezer Leisure" (it's their version of Dream Dinners). I spent a couple hours last Saturday helping to put together some of the meals and now our freezer is stocked!
3. Some very cool decorations I ordered for the baby room showed up. I will post pictures as soon as the room is complete, but I'll give you a hint: When Brant saw the decorations he said he wanted to hang out in the nursery with a Daiquiri. I didn't think we'd be drinking in the nursery anytime soon, but the decorations are fun and colorful.
4. I was feeling good enough to go on two walks this week. I am definitely in full "waddle" mode now.
5. The weather has been fantastic in Oregon. I love every change in the season here, but fall may be my favorite. Probably because of football, the changing leaves, the crisp air, pumpkin spice lattes and cozy nights at home.
6. Brant and I are catching up on season 5 of Grey's Anatomy. We do this every year, watch the previous season of Grey's either on DVD, or this time we're watching it on my laptop through Netflix. We won't watch the current season until next year, mostly because I can't stay up that late.
7. The director of our department at work celebrated his birthday this week. So being the good employees we are, we hired a singing telegram in the form of a pink gorilla. It was a good time had at the boss' expense and he took it like a champ.
8. The Office this week was hilarious. I laughed so hard I cried.
9. I'm getting closer to the 3rd trimester mark. After this next week, I will officially be able to say goodbye to the 2nd trimester, and hello to swollen ankles, more waddling, a much bigger belly, and from what I hear, a lot of uncomfortable-ness. BUT, it means we're getting closer to meeting our little boy, and that makes us so excited.
10. I'm looking forward to tomorrow and seeing a lot of family and family friends at our first baby shower.
