Welcome!

Welcome to our blog! My hope for this blog is to keep friends and family informed on our extremly boring life, and to provide updates on our little boy due January 11th.

Here he is at our ultrasound yesterday. He's 23 weeks along, about 1 pound 9 ounces and as active as ever! Everything measured right where it should be, except for his belly, which measured 2 weeks ahead of schedule. We've got a chubby kid on our hands. He loves to kick his feet and stretch his arms. His new favorite thing to do is kick me in the bladder. We've started putting headphones on my belly and he gets to listen to whatever Brant picks. So far he's listened to Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Vaughn Williams and Mozart. Some of the music really seems to get him moving, and some of it puts him to sleep. Recently he attended his first Duck game, and cheered on a victory over Purdue. This was a huge conflict of interest for me, but it's called compromise. I'll be sure this kid's first words are Go Beavers :)
