8 Months Old!

I am late in posting this, but Jack turned 8 months old more than 10 days ago! Since the last time I posted, Jack has learned how to pull himself up onto anything he puts his mind to. He's learned to fall on his bottom so he can now stand up and get down all on his own, but he's bitten his tongue a few times sitting down, so we still need to work on his dismount a little bit!
I decided to flip a basket over so that he could stand up and hold onto it. It's just the right size for him. He decided it was more fun to push it around, so I'm afraid he's already started the process of learning to walk on his own. Nana and Papa brought up a fun push toy that converts into a car, and while it's a little too quick on the hard wood floors just yet, Jack loves pushing it around on the carpet.
He's also teething again. He's up to 8 teeth, 4 on top and 4 on bottom. Today he was very fussy and the only thing we can attribute it to is the teeth.
Jack has become completely uninterested in books. He doesn't seem to have the attention span for it and would rather be crawling around. Books to him are only chew toys. I'm hopeful he'll outgrow this stage. We don't do bed time stories with him because he is completely bored and wants to get down and play.
I have some adorable pictures on my camera to download of Jack pushing toys around standing up, but for now I'll leave you with this cute picture of Jack and Brant goofing around...

And of course, one of us rooting for our favorite college football team...
