Deck Project 2010

The deck is almost done! We have one more coat of stain that needs to be applied, some paint touch ups on the new siding and trim, and a couple little tasks and we can call this project a success!

As Uncle Tracy and our many helpers started to demo, they ran into this:

Luckily, Uncle Tracy fixed it up as good as new. We had some major carpenter ant damage under our entry way door that they fixed too, but I don't have any pictures of it.

Here's our new deck!

Our new entry way. The old entry way was a ramp from the cement to the door. The awning also was slanted which Tracy fixed.

We eliminated the steps down to the yard because we never used them and they seemed too inviting.

The view from our front door. We widened the walk way so that we can move furniture in and out through the double doors on the side of the house

The Party Patio!

Looks like we'll need some more patio furniture!
